Basement Transformation- Halifax, NS
Challenge
This home in Halifax, Nova Scotia was in need of an expert opinion on addressing the obvious water issues. The effloresce on the walls was an indicator that this water seepage has been occurring for an extended period of time. Not only is the look of it ugly and gross, there is a musty smell, that was starting to affect the entire basement, and the items within the space. Sarah reached out to many competitors for a quote and potential solution. She landed upon the experts at Ridgeback Basement Systems, and we evidently were able to help her with all the concerns she was facing.
Solution
Out Sales Specialist, Gerard MacKinnon met with Sarah and they spoke about her concerns, although they were very evident. After discussing a solution, Sarah ultimately chose to go with Ridgeback Basement Systems for the project. The production team got right to work with this job. They installed our patented SuperSump sump pump system. A full-featured system, SuperSump includes the best components available including a top-rated 1/3HP Zoeller pump which is designed for reliability and high-volume pumping. It was important to install WaterGuard perimeter system for Sarah, as she wanted to ensure for all water that does seep in through the basement wall, it is captured into the WaterGuard and sent directly to the SuperSump for discharge. We also installed CleanSpace Wallie for Sarah. CleanSpace is a high density polyethylene for flexibility, and tear resistance. Not only did CleanSpace brighten the area, but it also separated the foundation wall from the home.
