Sump System Install- Carrols Corner, NS

Challenge

This homeowner reached out to Ridgeback Basement Systems and expressed his concerns with his foundation and water entering into the home. After speaking with our Appointment Center, we set him up for a free inspection to see what was occurring and hopefully create a solution that works for the homeowner. During the inspection, System Design Specialist Dylan noticed right away that the existing pump in the home was not keeping up to the water intake and was not eliminating the water that was coming into the home. Dylan and the homeowner discussed some ideas and ultimately came up with a solution that was the best result for the homeowner. 

Solution

Dylan Suggested that the current sump pump be replaced and WaterGuard be installed around the perimeter of the basement to catch the water before it got into hte home. The contract was signed, and installation began. It was not long into the install that our production team ran into an issue. When drilling out the trench for the WaterGuard, it became apparent that the foundation was not thick enough for the WaterGuard to sit and have a clean finish. Looking for an alternative option, Foreman Patrick decided FlowGuard with Drainage matting would do the trick with the same result as WaterGuard. Our production team had to think on their feet and created a solution that still was effective in this home. 

Although we may run into issues sometimes, our team works through the issues and creates solutions.
