Challenge

These homeowners had major concerns regarding his older home that was sitting on a cinderblock foundation. The wall was beginning to bow inwards, and without a fix, it would end up caving in, resulting in complete wall failure. It was critical to have the wall supported before irreversible damage. After some research, they reached out to Ridgeback Basement Systems for some expert assistance, and we delivered on all counts. 

Solution

Our sales specialist, Gerard went into the home, and although a bit intimidating to look at a wall bowing in, he was able to generate a solution that would support the wall and stop any further movement. Our production team installed a PowerBrace wall stabilization system. The top of the PowerBrace beam was secured to the floor joist, the beam is then secured and anchored to the foundation floor. This system is a secure, safe and permanent fix to the issues the homeowners were faced with. With the completed job, the walls are now stabilized and the fear of wall failure is no more.
