Waterproofing A Church- Sydney, NS
Challenge
There are endless reasons why someone wants to waterproof their space. It could be for entertaining, storage, a home office, or a common area where people from all over meet. This was the case for a community church in Sydney, NS.
This organization reached out to us as they were having a water seepage problem. The problem was getting so bad that mold and nasty odors were present, raising concern for the Church and programs ran there. They had previously tried to have the space waterproofed from the exterior, but this solution started to fail after only a few months.
Solution
Concerned for their community's health and the churches wellbeing, they turned to Ridgeback Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Gerard MacKinnon completed an inspection and designed a system to keep the space dry, and a date was set for the installation.
Foreman Patrick Johns started by removing the flooring, exposing the rotting wood, after removing the wood, WaterGuard began to be installed, capturing any further water that may enter into the Church. After the full perimeter of WaterGuard was installed a new TripleSafe Sump Pump was connected to permanently discharge any incoming water out and away from the home.
